mdBoard is developed and maintained by Marcus Pinnecke. Sponsorship funds the public Rust project, documentation, releases and long-term maintenance.

What sponsorship supports

  • maintenance of the core engine and CLI;
  • the local HTML and terminal surfaces;
  • documentation, examples and release engineering;
  • security review and dependency upkeep;
  • long-term compatibility for teams adopting the board model.

What it does not buy

  • exclusive features;
  • a closed-source edition;
  • control over the roadmap;
  • a support contract.

The software remains Apache-2.0. Commercial support, sponsored development and a hosted service are separate agreements; they do not reduce the rights the license already grants.

Other ways to help

  • adopt the board in a real project and report friction;
  • open focused issues with reproductions;
  • improve the documentation;
  • review the design record and edge cases;
  • share the project with a team that runs parallel agents.
