Sandbox mode

A sandbox is a local branch for experiments:

sandbox/<name>

It branches from the current upstream HEAD and is a playground only.

mdboard sandbox create csv-experiment
mdboard sandbox status
mdboard sandbox leave
mdboard sandbox reset csv-experiment --yes
mdboard sandbox delete csv-experiment --force
  • Creation requires a clean tree and the upstream branch.
  • leave returns to upstream and keeps the branch.
  • reset returns the branch to the current upstream HEAD.
  • delete removes it; unmerged commits need --force.
  • No push in v1.
  • Do not use a sandbox for active mdBoard development, acceptance, review, merge or release.

The sandbox is a Git branch, not an isolation or security boundary.
